The Unforeseen

"The Unforeseen" by Vandana Srivastava is a collection of gripping short stories. I have long awaited the opportunity to read a book with short stories, and I am grateful that I found this one. One of the major reasons I chose this book was the attractive cover page. It is a collection of 12 stories, and the best part is that one is a poem titled "Life." Being fond of poetry, this piece was a gift that suited the book well. The stories encompass all the important elements of human emotions: love, anger, and fear. The author's ability to deliver unexpected twists adds an extra layer of intrigue to each story, keeping me engaged until the end. My favorite story, "Innocence," revolves around an eight-year-old hyperactive and naughty boy. I closely related to this tale because my younger sibling exhibited all the characteristics of that boy. It was a lovely and cute story.
The book is quick, suspenseful, engaging, and interesting, allowing me to finish it in only one sitting. The language used is simple yet informative. This is a must-read for those who appreciate well-crafted short stories that delve into the depths of human experience. Vandana Srivastava's storytelling skills and the unpredictability of each tale make this collection a captivating journey through the intricacies of life.
