Lia Dàn - Stone Of Destiny

Image
Lia Dàn – Stone of Destiny is a thrilling and immersive fantasy novel that blends Irish mythology, magic, and heroic adventure into a gripping tale of destiny and sacrifice. I really enjoyed reading the first part and I was eagerly waiting to read this one. After reading both the books I can say that author’s writing talent is exceptional. James Raquepau takes readers deep into the world of Erin, where warriors, gods, and demons clash in an epic struggle for the future of Ireland. I really liked the plot of the book and the way author has developed all the characters.  At the heart of the story is Breanna Ban Morna, a fierce and determined warrior who continues her quest as Erin’s Hero with her band of loyal warriors.Their mission: to retrieve Lia Dàn, the legendary Stone of Destiny, from the mystical land of Tír na nÓg. Along the way, Breanna must battle Fomorian demons, evade the relentless Dreadlord, and navigate the will of the Tuatha gods. The stakes are high, as h...

Lann Dàn - Blades Of Destiny

Image
The story sets up In the fifth century, the arrival of a brutal band of pre-Viking Norse raiders entwines the Mother Goddess of Celtic Ireland in a desperate bid to rid her island of the invaders turned settlers. Danu and her fellow Tuatha Gods draw Breanna Ban Morna, a Gaelic warrior with blood from both sides, into a quest to find the missing Tuatha-created Lann Dàn, the Blades of Destiny, one of three pieces of magic needed to remove the Norse leader and his ilk from their land. While meeting Danu in a secret grove, Croí Dàn, the Heart of Destiny, chooses Breanna as Erin’s Hero. As the Mother Goddess sets the young warrior on her quest to find the Blades of Destiny, little does Breanna know that the Norse leader has invoked ancient enemies of the Tuatha to stop her. It takes an intervention by another God of the Tuatha pantheon to ensure that Erin’s Hero can pursue her goal of removing the Norsemen from their land. Author wrote this book in such a brilliant way that I wa...

Crossing Day

Image
The story begins with the teenagers’ seemingly ordinary lives in Huntsville, Alabama school, sports, and hanging out at Jaybird’s Drive-In. Yet, when Mish, a young enslaved girl working at the drive-in, is sold to an unsavory man, Ryan and his friends are forced to reckon with the systemic cruelty that underpins their world. Their decision to take a stand and help Mish  indicates the courage those little kids have and the perspective with which they comprehend things which even adults are not able to do. Glass’s writing is immersive and sharp, skillfully blending action with moments of quiet reflection. The world building is extraordinary; it’s easy to picture a society where this alternate history unfolds, complete with its cultural norms and ethical blind spots. Meanwhile, Ryan and his friends’ moral awakening is depicted with nuance, making their journey deeply relatable. I really liked the comparison done by the author to Huckleberry Finn and The Hunger Games feels ...

Echoes in the Veil by Pratik P. Sharda is a haunting and immersive journey into the paranormal, a collection that invites readers to explore beyond the boundaries of the ordinary and delve into the mysterious realms of the unknown. With five mini-novels, author crafts stories that bridge fear and fascination, weaving supernatural encounters that linger long after the last page.  Each of the five stories reveals a unique facet of horror and loss, viewed through the lens of the unseen and unknown. I really liked the balance of psychological tension with chilling supernatural elements, creating a tapestry of experiences that are both thought-provoking and deeply unsettling. You will encounter a variety of ghostly and otherworldly presences that offer fresh perspectives on death, mystery, and the limits of human perception. Author has a great command over his words, the language used in the book was lucid. I really liked the way author portrayed the characters which made th...

I was really excited to read this book after reading the first part and I finished reading this book in just two sittings. The author kept me on my toes through out the book and I cannot wait to read the final instalment of this series. From the first page, it’s clear that the stakes are high for the protagonists, William and Patricia, as they struggle with secrets that threaten to shatter their newfound happiness. Author does an excellent job of weaving a complex narrative that balances both romance and suspense. Patricia’s discovery of a hidden past, one that holds the power to destroy her future with William and their children, sets the stage for a gripping, emotional journey.  The character development was brilliant.
